Destination information

Bansko is situated in the South-western part of Bulgaria, at the foot of Pirin Mountain, beneath the highest and most beautiful karst of the mountain. The town is one of the biggest and fastest developing winter resorts in the country, which together with its architectural and historical value make it very popular destination for winter and summer holidays.

The most impressive natural surrounding in Bansko is the beautiful Pirin Mountain. South of Bansko is the Pirin National Park. The mountain and the natural park are Alpine type glacier forms, with its highest peak Vihren – 2915m. At the foot of the peaks is the Park, where one can admire more than 180 circus lakes.

Ski location

Bansko offers its guests a unique 16-kilometer uninterrupted ski run, starting from Todorka Peak (2600 m) at the highest point of the ski center, all the way to base station of the Gondola lift at the outskirts of town. The last 7 km of the slope are lighted, and the entire facility is equipped with artificial snow machines to ensure a great skiing experience even in warmer conditions.

Airport transportation

Bansko is situated 150 km from the International Airport in Sofia and 250 km from the International Airport in Thessaloniki.

By bus

The guests of the hotel "Adeona Ski & Spa", Bansko can take a bus from the Central Bus Station Sofia which is located next to the Central Train Station or from The Bus Station situated in "Ovcha Kupel" - Sofia. The trip takes about 3 hours and costs about 8 €. Once arrived in Bansko you can take a taxi which will cost from 5 € to 10 €.

By car

Arriving by car it will take you approximately 2 ½ hours, following the route is E-79.
